We are looking for a skilled and structured Automation Engineer to join our team. We have several sports performance technology products, and the new Automation Engineer will help strengthen our QA process and test efforts.

We would like you to have experience with the following:

  • Relevant technical education, with both HW and SW experience preferably MSc ()
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks (ex. Cucumber/SpecFlow)
  • Experience with .NET/C#
  • High Speed Cameras knowledge is an advantage

We expect you to:

  • Have minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Be a quick learner, and keep yourself updated on new technologies and trends
  • Structured and systematic
  • Good communication skills
  • English and Norwegian language, both verbal and in writing
  • Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams
  • Responsible and result oriented.

Your tasks will be:

  • Lead the automation process of our Desktop and Web based applications and 
  • Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the automation unit
  • Participate in functional testing and system integration testing of our applications

Our technology stack is published on StackShare. We strive to use technologies that help us to create a better product, whether they are small improvements in existing technologies or an entirely new tool or technology. We also integrate with a lot of hardware SDKs in order to communicate with a wide array of sensor plates, cameras and launch monitors. More specifically, we use force plates from Bertec, pressure plates from SensorEdge, cameras from FliR Systems and Imaging Development Systems (IDS), and launch monitors from Foresight, FlightScope, Full Swing and SkyTrak.

We have a very experienced team, the most experienced team members each have 12-20 years of experience. A mentor will be appointed for the new team member, and the mentor will help, support and train the new team member.

The development team is organized as a scrum team, with two-week sprints. The tasks at hand are varied and can be anything from WPF and XAML to improve the video encoding speed or add support for a new launch monitor (just to name some examples from the last months). The work is interdisciplinary, using a wide range of technologies and tools. We focus on creating user-friendly products, one of our team members is an interaction designer who focuses on the user-friendliness and look and feel of our products.

About Trondheim

We are located in Trondheim, Norway. Norway is part of the EU/EEA, including Schengen and all the other EU programs. Trondheim is a beautiful, 1000+ year old town located by the Trondheim Fjord. It has a population of 200.000, and is the third most populous city in Norway. Trondheim is a university town, with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology as the largest university. In total, there are 33.000 students in Trondheim. This makes Trondheim a young and vibrant city, with many restaurants (of which 3 have Michelin stars) and many cultural events.
